Finding a family space is as easy as 1, 2, 3

Finding a family space is as easy as 1, 2, 3 Searching for space, flexibility and value for money in a new home? Then a three-storey house may be just the thing you’re looking for. When Samantha Barnett, 34, was looking for a new home for her and her two children Tom, 10, and Josh, 5, she wanted somewhere that had that something extra, where they could enjoy time together as a family as well as some breathing space.

She found her ideal in a three-storey home at Redrow Homes' Willans Green development in Rugby.

Moving only half a mile away from her old house, Samantha, who’s training to be a chartered accountant, was struck by the flexibility and value for money that the extra floor of her Malham house offers.

“I wasn’t specifically looking for a home with three floors, but I’ve found the extra space a real bonus. It gives the house so much more potential, for now and the future, and it really adds a feeling of value for money. Plus the kids just love running up and down the stairs!” says Samantha.

Three-storey living offers a unique versatility as the extra floor space can be used in a variety of ways. Aside from giving teenagers, older children or an elderly relative their own space and independence, which can be difficult to do in a traditional two-storey home, it can also be ideal for use as a home office, which is perfect for separating ‘home’ and ‘work’ lives and cutting down on stress.

With a Redrow three-storey home buyers also benefit from a clean slate to work with as all its properties are brand new. This means that those who opt for life over three floors not only benefit from the extra opportunity to be creative and flexible with their internal layout, but also with its décor and fixtures.

For Samantha the extra floor wasn’t the only exceptional selling point of her Redrow home, she also loved how instantly homely and welcoming it felt.

“We’ve adapted really well and very quickly to living here, it’s so comfortable. We’ve really embraced the extra floor and it’s an excellent feature of the house, but we’re also very much enjoying the house as a whole together, as a family. Instead of watching TV like we used to we now spend a lot of time together in the kitchen, enjoying some real family time, it really is fantastic,” said Samantha.

Three-storey living is a contemporary, versatile solution to many living circumstances and can appeal to buyers at all stages of the property buying ladder, from growing and new families to buddy buyers and ‘empty nesters.’

Samantha also took advantage of the Mastermove scheme, which helps people with an existing property to sell and ultimately pays their estate agent’s fees when they move up to Redrow. It’s designed to be quick, easy and free from fuss.

Convenient for the town centre, motorway network and the train station, yet within easy reach of some beautiful Warwickshire countryside, Willans Green in Rugby offers an array of properties from £173,995, including three-storey, three bedroom models similar to Samantha’s, it also offers two-storey three bedroom homes and two bedroom apartments.
