The stork delivers at The Leys

A couple from the Midlands have found themselves with a new house and baby, all within the space of three days at Barratt Mercia's The Leys development on Leicester Road in Bedworth.

Craig (36) and Kerry (34) Carpenter, who have been married for almost a year, welcomed their first son Ben to the world just three days after moving into their new home at the Barratt development. Craig, an avid motorsports fan explained, "It was all a bit of a shock, we had just moved into the new house and were expecting to have a few weeks to settle in when Ben was born unexpectedly.

"Our previous home was a three-bedroom terrace house, but we wanted something bigger for when Ben arrived and our four-bedroom house at The Leys is ideal. Because we were moving to a larger home we were able to use Barratt's part-exchange scheme. Barratt took care of everything involved with selling the old house, meaning there were no estate agents fees or Home Information Pack to worry about. Plus we also used the recommended solicitor which meant that we were able to move into the new house after only a few weeks."

Kerry, a Pharmacy Technician added, "The Leys is a very family orientated development close to good schools, which is exactly what we had been looking for. Our previous two homes have both been new builds so we knew about all the benefits that come with them, such as the fact that everything is already done and ready for you as soon as you move in which was very important as we wanted to spend as much time with Ben as possible without having to worry about the house.

"Although it has been a tough few weeks juggling a new house and baby we are over the moon by the arrival of Ben and that we managed to get into the house just in time."

Chris Ashmore commented, "It is wonderful to hear of the arrival of Ben, who is the first baby to be born at The Leys. We really wanted to build a community atmosphere here, so it is fantastic that families are beginning to flourish and our congratulations go to Craig and Kerry."
