Housebuilder David Wilson East Midlands has launched a new moving scheme that uniquely gives customers with a property to sell the chance to achieve the highest possible selling price, while still retaining the security of a guaranteed buyer.

The Part-Exchange Plus scheme has been designed to give buyers both peace of mind and a sure fire way of moving up to a bigger home. Purchasers reserve the home of their choice, agree a part-exchange deal and then still offer their old property for sale on the open market up to eight weeks before the new home is ready to move into. David Wilson will even pay for the estate agent's fees and the Home Information Pack if they choose to do this.

Philip Lacey, Sales Director for David Wilson East Midlands said, "If a buyer's existing property fails to sell at a price higher than that agreed in the part-exchange deal, they won't risk loosing out on their dream home, because David Wilson has already guaranteed to buy it.

"This means buyers get the best of both worlds; the chance to sell to an independent buyer to maximise value, but the security of a guaranteed sale with us if they don't secure a buyer. Better still whether they sell independently or to us, the process is entirely free because we cover all the associated selling costs!"

David Wilson's part-exchange scheme has always proved extremely popular because it offers a quick move with no upward chain and absolutely no hassle. The deal suits customers looking to move up the property ladder and whose existing home is valued at around 30 per cent less than the David Wilson one. Once part-exchange terms are agreed, buyers select a selling price for their old home with David Wilson and if a higher offer is received the sale should progress to meet the completion date of the new home.
