New apartments for ‘world class’ Stratford

18th November 2008 Print
New apartments for ‘world class’ Stratford George Wimpey West Midlands has now released the final trendy ‘split level’ apartments at its flourishing Sandpipers development on Birmingham Road. With 85% of this development now sold, these last eight apartments with a difference are set over four storeys, but from the rear at Clopton Road only two levels are visible, because they are located in an attractive hollow for extra prestige, privacy and panache.

These new-style Burghley properties are a generous 650 sq.ft and are also two bedroom/two bathroom (rare in today’s market) which make them ideal for starter families, young professionals sharing, downsizers who still want to put guests up and also investors looking to maximise their returns – and they start from just £159,995.

As Stratford implements multi million pounds investment plans to make it a ‘world class’ tourist destination and place to live, Sandpipers sales have been consistently good because of sensible pricing levels. Location is a real bonus too, because it’s situated just to the north west of the town centre (next to the new retail park) and is just off the main A34 commuter route to Birmingham and easy 5-10 minute stroll to the main pedestrianised areas of town.

Sandpipers is also very accessible to the A46 and other major towns south of Birmingham, so avoiding the customary delays experienced from the south of Stratford. Made up of 90 properties, the development has seven types of apartment and two new townhouse designs - all with coveted parking space. These luxury apartments (some with balconies) offer a convenient and favourable position less than half a mile from the centre – especially because Sandpipers is one of the last developments to come to market due to a moratorium now limiting any further new build in the district.

Sales manager Jan Titley says: “The Birmingham Road area has also changed dramatically of late with the transformation of the Maybird Centre next door to us (it had its official launch just last weekend!) into a state-of-the-art, glass fronted shopping mall that’s attracted the likes of household favourites Asda Living, Next, Boots, WH Smith, Tesco, Halfords, as well as the original B&Q. We hear the area directly opposite us is also to be transformed into designer wine bars, bistros and restaurants, while the canal basin nearby is also to be tidied up and refreshed - to collectively uplift the whole of this side of Stratford.”
