Eastern European presence for TRL Software

17th February 2009 Print
TRL’s local presence took another step forward with agreements with BIT of Poznan and TransEko of Warsaw to resell TRANSYT to their customer base and other transport professionals. The two companies will also provide training for users.

BIT and TransEko are both experienced transportation consultants and are ideally positioned to cover the whole of Poland in selling and supporting TRANSYT 13. TRANSYT is highly complementary to other products that they provide which include VISSIM and VISUM from PTV AG. With the new TRANSYT VISSIM Link, the connection between the two products brings great synergies to transport professionals across the country.

Adam Giszczak, TRL’s recently accredited VISUM and VISSIM trainer, was in Poland at the beginning of January to promote TRANSYT 13 at a seminar held at the Poznan University of Technology. Students, professors and local transport officials viewed a presentation of TRL’s software including the TRANSYT VISSIM Link for optimising junctions in VISSIM models.

Adam said: “Poland is no stranger to traffic congestion, but with the availability of this new software, coupled with BIT and TransEKO expertise and recent investment by the EU, traffic engineers now have a far greater ability to provide solutions to national traffic issues.”
