Couple right to ‘bank’ on Redrow scheme

With a property to sell before they could make their dream move Richard Cookson and his partner Sophie Smith decided to let Redrow take the strain. The delighted couple, who have just moved into a new home at the Willans Green development, in Rugby, used Redrow’s assisted move service to sell Richard’s previous home in Nottingham. It proved to be a smart move, with the property selling in less than a month.

Delighted Richard, a data analyst for an international bank, and 26-year-old Sophie, a branch manager for a high street bank, chose Willans Green as it is ideally situated for them both to commute to work and is within easy reach of Rugby town centre as well as the beautiful Warwickshire countryside.

Commenting on assisted move, Richard, 44, said: “We both needed to sell our existing properties before we could go ahead and buy our first home together. Sophie’s apartment sold fairly quickly so once we had made a decision to move to Willans Green, I decided to use the assisted move service.

“The service was very straightforward and my house sold quicker than we expected. We didn’t have any of the hassle of dealing with estate agents as Redrow did all that for us and my old house was marketed with more than one agent, which sped things up even more. The biggest advantage was having all our estate agent fees paid.”

He added: “We wanted to move to rugby and thought that Willans Green was the best new development in the area. It’s really close to everything we need. Since we’ve moved, we’ve joined a gym and are looking into volunteering for the local Cats Protection League.”
