Last chance to buy at popular Rugby development One of Rugby’s most successful regeneration projects is coming to a rapid conclusion with the release for sale of the final 12 properties. The two, three and four-bedroom homes, with prices from £118, 995 are the last to be built at Willans Green, a popular development of 175 new homes by Redrow on the site of a former brickworks.

With a great choice of quality-built properties close to Rugby town centre yet within easy reach of the Warwickshire countryside, it’s no surprise Willans Green has proved popular with buyers.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: “The new phase is a great finale to what has been a very successful development, meeting the needs and aspirations of a wide range of home owners. Willans Green has a lot to offer and is a perfect choice for first time buyers, couples and young families, as well as down-sizers.

“These final properties feature fitted kitchens with top brand name appliances, modern fixtures and fittings, full double glazing and gas central heating. And a brand new home is easy to maintain and more energy efficient so potentially cheaper to run than an older property.

“Our homes at Willans Green are made easier to buy through a range of cash-saving incentives and the help we can offer also gives them the edge over the second hand market in the current climate. The development is one of 33 by Redrow that have been chosen to offer the new government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme, with an equity loan for up to 30 per cent of the purchase price that’s interest free for the first five years.”

Among the new homes available is the ‘Canterbury’, a great starter home with two double bedrooms, open plan living and dining area and a separate kitchen, priced from £118,995 – or just £83,296.50 for those eligible for a 30% equity loan through HomeBuy Direct.

Meanwhile, the four-bedroom ‘Gorsley’ caters for the professional couple or growing families and enjoys a flexible three-storey layout. It boasts a separate dining area, lounge and en-suite to master bedroom. At £162,995, it offers a lot of ‘home’ for the money.

Home buyers at Willans Green will benefit from its proximity to the centre of Rugby and the town’s railway station, which offers journey times to London Euston of around an hour. The town centre has a range of restaurants and public houses and a large retail area centred around The Clock Towers shopping centre. For those looking for the greener side of life, Rugby also has several large parks, including Caldecott Park near to the town hall.

There’s easy access to the M1 and M6 motorways and Rugby is centrally located to explore nearby towns and attractions, including Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa and the historic castles of Kenilworth and Warwick.
