House-builder puts Henley on the map

Copies are now available at the Heritage Centre on the High Street as well as at the David Wilson sales office at its Henley Point development.
Joint Parish Councillor George Matheou said, “We were delighted when David Wilson offered to put together a map for the town. This new map, with all the information about our beautiful town, will really help us promote Henley as a tourist destination.
“There is so much of interest in Henley, from the Mount where a Norman Castle once stood and which was investigated by Channel 4’s Time Team, to the Ice Cream Parlour which has made Henley famous. It’s great we now have all of these places recorded in one, pocket sized document which can be used by visitors and residents alike.”
The new map also illustrates Henley’s newest street, William James Way, where David Wilson’s Henley Point development is located. It was named after Henley’s most historically significant son, William James who pioneered the concept of passenger railways at the start of the 19th Century.
Julia Chapman, Sales Manager for David Wilson adds, “Very often our new homes will form part of a location’s growing community so producing this map is a great way for us to announce the new street name and provide a useful tool for our customers. Better still the thousands of visitors to Henley each year will now have all the town’s attractions at their finger tips.”
David Wilson has a selection of one- and two-bedroom apartments remaining for sale at Henley Point. Prices start from £139,950. For more information, log on to Dwh.co.uk.
