CAAR introduces a new buy-online website
CAAR, the UK’s leading group of independent accessory shops and motor factors, has introduced a new buy-online website.caarparts.co.uk combines the convenience and low prices of shopping online with the benefits of purchasing items at a retailer – users can go online and make their purchases at any time, day or night, and then have the convenience of picking them up at any CAAR store they choose, whether it’s close to home or work.
Offering an extensive range of leading-brand components for almost all makes and models, caarparts.co.uk is easily navigated, and because users have to specify the exact make, model and year of their car, there’s little risk of the incorrect parts being ordered. It even incorporates a VRM look-up system which means that simply by entering the registration number the correct vehicle details are displayed including chassis number and dates of manufacture and registration. What’s, more, by putting in their postcode, caarparts.co.uk buyers can find their nearest store and check opening hours.
In almost all cases CAAR members will have the items in store in 24 or 48 hours – if it’s going to take longer the customer will be notified by email. And there’s the confidence that if the incorrect part has been ordered, it will be replaced at no extra charge.
CAAR chief executive David Owen is confident caarparts.co.uk will benefit both customer and store, as buyers not familiar with a CAAR member will be introduced to a wide range of products – components, car care and leisure products – at competitive prices.
“Today’s customers are looking for high-quality components at low prices, but they can be wary of buying from an internet-only store. Buying through our website means there’s the convenience of being able to collect goods from the most conveniently-located CAAR store, and for the store there’s the benefit of possibly another sale once the customer sees what’s on offer,” David Owen says.
CAAR is also launching a leisure and accessories website, caarbitz.co.uk, in the next few months.
