It's cheaper to live out of town

It's cheaper to live out of town Homebuyers at Barratt's Calcos Place development in Kelly Bray, Cornwall, have been pleasantly surprised to find they can get more for their money if they live out of town.

"House prices at Calcos Place are significantly cheaper than in a large city like Plymouth," reports sales manager Mary Daymond. "For example, here our Eskdale style three-bedroom house has an asking price of £207,000, while the same style of house in Plymouth would cost £216,500.

"Also, although this development enjoys a village location, the A30 and A38 offer easy access north and south, so it is ideal for commuters. Residents can enjoy the best of both worlds - living close to countryside but within easy reach of local towns and Plymouth's vibrant city centre."

When complete, Calcos Place will offer 84 homes. These include a mixture of contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments - perfect for first-time buyers, couples and single purchasers - and three-bedroom houses for families. Prices range from £136,000 to £208,000.

The development lies just a mile from Callington, with its traditional shops, supermarkets, weekly country market, sports clubs and schools. It is also close to Kit Hill, a local landmark, and Bodmin Moor.
