Jaguars roar with 100% sale at Manheim Auctions, Bristol
Every one of the 111 models in Jaguar’s latest closed auction at Manheim Auctions, Bristol was sold at a total value exceeding £2 million. With the current used car market so far in 2009 enjoying a much-needed degree of buoyancy, more than two thirds of the Jaguar dealer network were at the auction: 50 dealers physically in the auction hall and an additional 15 dealers also bidding online. Demand for the models on offer was extremely strong, resulting in an overall price achievement of 108% CAP clean.Commenting on the sale Paul Stauvers, National Used Car Sales Manager, Jaguar Cars Ltd said:
“Jaguar is very happy with this latest auction result and particularly with the support from the dealer network in terms of attendance. January is usually a strong month for Jaguar used car sales but to achieve a 100% sale with strong prices was certainly very encouraging. The desire from our dealer network for Jaguar used stock only goes to prove that dealers recognise the need to build their used car operations even during these difficult trading conditions.”
James Leese, Manheim’s Sales Director for Manufacturer Remarketing, added: “The Jaguar marque is such an icon of British motoring and, amidst the uncertainty of the present market which has particularly affected the luxury car sector, its fantastic to see such strong demand and confidence for this brand in the sale room.”
