First time buyers gear up for their big move in Bodmin The first buyers at Barratt’s new Bodmin development Canyke Fields are gearing up to move into their new home. Helen Sandy and James Adams have chosen a three bedroom Maidstone style home at the popular new development which was opened recently by Bodmin Mayor Councillor Bob Micek.

Initial homes on the development are due for imminent completion and sales manager Mary Daymond said the range of homes available and the stunning location have attracted a wide range of people to Canyke Fields.

“We are delighted that Helen and James are set to move into their first home at Canyke Fields,’’ she said. “The showhomes are now open and provide a great idea of how people can personalise their own Barratt home in this wonderful setting.’’

Currently three and four bedroom homes are available from £174,950 and £249,950 respectively and have been attracting the attention of first time buyers, and those moving up the housing ladder. As work progresses two bedroom properties will also become available.

Canyke Fields is located in Gilbert Road, Bodmin, and lies close to the A389, offering easy links to Wadebridge and the coastal resort of Newquay. The A30 and A38 provide access to the thriving cities of Truro and Plymouth.

Bodmin offers an ideal base for all age groups as, in addition to numerous amenities, it is home to the Beacon Nature Reserve, with its stunning views of the local moors and coastline.

The town is also conveniently situated close to the market town of Wadebridge, the pretty fishing port of Padstow and the sandy beaches of Rock, a favourite destination for sailing enthusiasts.
