Car dealers benefit from powerful online marketing solutions
Daihatsu is the latest manufacturer to sign up with HPI’s Manufacturer Stock Locator service. The two year contract will play a fundamental role in launching the new Daihatsu Used Car Locator (Daihatsu.co.uk), supporting a 100-strong franchise. The launch has been a huge success, with 60% more Daihatsu dealers already using the new HPI system compared to their previous supplier.HPI’s Stock Locator integrates seamlessly into Daihatsu.co.uk, allowing customers to enjoy the same brand experience as when using the rest of the website. Easy, clear search screens include sales information and images of the model range to help customers browse for their next used car. Postcode searches and dynamic results combine with the ability to compare up to three cars – making online shopping easier than ever.
“With an increased level of used cars now advertised on the Daihatsu website, the new Stock Locator allows customers to see a much wider choice of the award-winning cars available in the dealer network, which in turn will increase sales and profitability at crucial time,” says Daniel Burgess, Automotive Director for HPI. “The new Stock Locator means customers can easily compare cars, while thumbnail images online encourage them to contact the dealer if they are interested.”
Each vehicle advert page includes up to 6 images which can be displayed together with a zoom facility, again designed to help customers looking for cars make better informed choices about the cars they are researching. Lead generation is important and has been enhanced from the current site, with customers able to contact a dealer or book a test drive about cars they are really interested in. Customers can also ask a dealer to help them find a car if they cannot find the one they are looking for.
Paul Hegarty, Director Operations for Daihatsu adds, “The response from our network has been extremely positive. We chose HPI as providers for our used car search facility, because of their proven experience with other specialist brands and because were particularly impressed with their "hands-on" committed approach.”
“Being a Japanese manufacturer, our cars offer British buyers a compact vehicle, particularly relevant in current market conditions as customers are actively seeking them out to reduce motoring costs. The Daihatsu website offers not only the best franchised stock available but gives customers the additional reassurance of buying from an authorised dealer. HPI's service provides an economical re-marketing solution for dealers in these challenging times, with the provenance check "adding value" over the traditionally limited service offered by other providers.”
