Ryanair launches free seats to Europe’s best Christmas markets

30th November 2006 Print
Ryanair, low fares airline, has launched its New Christmas Markets Website on ryanair.com and in doing so got the Festive Season off to a flying start with a free* flight giveaway to the best Christmas markets in Europe. There is no better way to get in the mood for Christmas than to take a trip to Germany, Sweden, Austria, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia or Italy and experience the best Christmas choirs, toys, crafts, mulled wine and holly decked stalls that spring up in the medieval squares of Europe’s oldest and most beautiful cities at this time of year.

Speaking today, Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Peter Sherrard said: “This year there is no excuse for being a bah-humbug. With fares this low even Scrooge would be happy to shell out a few pennies to partake in the Christmas revelry. The free* seats available to these markets will guarantee a perfect romantic break or family trip.

“Germany and Austria are famed for their Christmas markets and we have loads of free* seats to Baden Baden, Salzburg, Berlin or Frankfurt with its 600 years old Christmas market. Try some bratwurst sausages and hot spiced wine and you’ll soon be more merry than Santa himself.

“If you’ve been there, done that, why not head further east to Riga, home of the first decorated Christmas tree in 1510, or to the Christmas markets of Krakow or Bratislava. With free* flights, you’d be crackers to miss out! Check out ryanair.com for details”.

* One way excluding taxes
* Christmas markets generally run from late November to late December
