Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares airline and sponsor of Cheltenham's Ryanair chase, today (12th February) announced a €46 seat sale to welcome the 46 entrants who have so far thrown their hat into the ring for the £175,000 race which takes place on March 15th.

Irish trained horses account for a third of entrants and to celebrate this huge Irish interest, Ryanair is offering 1,000 seats for under €46 all in, on routes from Ireland to Birmingham, Bristol and East Midlands during the festival. Ryanair is also adding 18 extra flights between Dublin and Birmingham from the 12th and the 16th March to accommodate record Irish demand.

Speaking this morning, Ryanair's Peter Sherrard, said:

"The build up to racing's favourite festival is well and truly underway. 25,000 race goers will make Ryanair their first choice for Cheltenham this year. To accommodate this unprecedented demand, Ryanair has added 18 extra flights between Dublin and Birmingham that are available today on ryanair.com. We urge passengers to book immediately as €46 fares for racing's favourite festival will not last long".
