It’s raining bookings for Ryanair
Irish airline Ryanair this week released booking statistics and rainfall patterns recorded by Met Eireann for Dublin Airport which prove that Irish passengers book more flights away on rainy days. Figures show a direct correlation between the weather and bookings with one notable exception caused by Ryanair’s free summer seat sale.Speaking on Monday, Ryanair’s Peter Sherrard said:
“It’s official, Irish passengers are booking summer getaways in record numbers, prompted by fantastic Ryanair bargains and miserable weather. Ryanair records more Dublin bookings on the rainiest days of the month, as glum passengers snap up last minute Ryanair bargains to the sun.
“The good news is that even if the miserable weather continues, Ryanair is providing a multitude of escape-routes, with 5 million flights now available for just €10 on Ryanair.com”.
