Ryanair sees record bookings on ski routes

Ryanair, yesterday confirmed that its ‘Skis Fly Free’ promotion has seen record bookings on ski routes. Ryanair has taken over 200,000 bookings on its sixty-one UK routes to the slopes. Skiers can still book by this Sunday (30 September) and will have their skis or snowboard carried absolutely free.

Thousands more winter sports lovers are expected to take advantage of the offer before it runs out, booking bargain flights to European ski gateways such as Grenoble, Friedrichshafen, Milan, Barcelona, Turin and Salzburg.

Ryanair's Head of Sales & Marketing Sinead Finn said: "The response to our ‘Skis Fly Free’ offer has been astounding. We've seen hoards of snow sports enthusiasts book their skis with Ryanair already. With the offer running for only a few more days, we anticipate thousands more skiers will take advantage of this incredible deal.

"These unprecedented passenger numbers show that Ryanair is giving UK skiers exactly what they want - the guaranteed lowest fares to the slopes and the most convenient ski airports.

"The good news is that winter sports fans can still have their skis carried free of charge, but they need to book by Sunday 30 September. However, as we're expecting a last-minute rush, we would urge passengers to book their seats to the pistes and skis on board at once."

- Passengers must book between 30 August 07 and 30 September 07.
- As per the offer, passengers are entitled to bring one item (Skis/Boots/Pole or Snowboard/Boots) per return flight.
- Offer applies to passengers flying to ski destinations only between 22 December 2007 to 30 April 2008.
- Carriage of equipment is subject to space availability on the aircraft and cannot be guaranteed.
