Ryanair agrees 4 year deal with Dublin pilots
Ryanair, has confirmed that it has reached agreement with its Dublin based pilots on a new 4 year pay deal which will significantly improve pay, rosters, terms and conditions for Ryanair’s Dublin pilots and brings them into line with the pay and conditions previously negotiated by Ryanair pilots at their other Irish bases. This agreement was concluded following proposals which were put to the airline by the Dublin pilots, which were the subject of recent negotiations, and have now been voted on and approved by a significant majority of Ryanair’s Dublin based pilots. Accordingly Ryanair has accepted these proposals and will now implement these improved rosters, increased pay and allowances with effect from 14 October next.
This new agreement brings Ryanair’s Dublin pilots into line with previous pay agreements which were negotiated by Ryanair’s pilots at its Shannon and Cork bases and means that all Ryanair pilots at its 3 Irish bases are now covered by long-term pay, benefits and roster agreements.
The key features of this new 4 year Dublin pilot pay deal include:
- Over €10k p.a. increases in basic pay and allowances for Dublin Captains.
- Over €12k p.a. in sector pay increases for Dublin Captains.
- A matching €5k p.a. pension contribution for Dublin Captains.
- An improved roster which gives pilots 4 days off after every 5 days of work.
- An improvement in the speed at which co-pilots can be promoted.
- An additional 25 days off p.a., whilst still allowing Dublin pilots to fly up to 900 hours p.a.(equivalent to 18 hours per week).
- Senior Dublin Captains can now earn over €160k p.a.
Welcoming this new agreement Ryanair’s Director of Personnel, Eddie Wilson said:
“We are pleased that this new 4 year Dublin pilot pay deal will see our Dublin pilots enjoy substantial pay increases of over €25k p.a. for Captains and over €15k p.a. for First Officers. The new rosters will guarantee Ryanair’s pilots a further 25 days off each year. This new agreement brings Ryanair’s Dublin pilots back into line with the pay and conditions previously negotiated by Ryanair pilots at our other Irish bases (Cork and Shannon).”
