Bookings frenzy for Ryanair
Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares airline, announced that its completely free seat sale has sparked a tourism boom across Europe. Since the seat sale was launched last Thursday almost one million seats have been snapped up by happy consumers who will pay no taxes, no fees and no charges. The seat sale will mean a huge boost to local tourism as passengers will generate a visitor spend in excess of £250 million.
Celebrating the bookings frenzy, Ryanair's Head of Sales & Marketing Sinead Finn said: "The response to our completely free seat sale has been nothing short of astonishing. We've seen hundreds of thousands of passengers busy booking up their seats to stunning destinations such as Belfast, Shannon, Frankfurt and Milan.
"Once again Ryanair has delivered the lowest fares guaranteed to UK consumers. Our low fares and best punctuality simply can't be beaten.
"There are still seats left from London, Glasgow, East Midlands, Liverpool and Bristol, and passengers won't have to pay a thing - there are no taxes, no fees and no charges. But this amazing offer ends at midnight on Monday 8 October, so we strongly advise passengers to book their seats immediately before they're all gone."
