New Ryanair destinations from Bristol base

Ryanair, Europe's largest international airline, today (7 November) opened its Bristol base by operating flights for the first time from Bristol to Budapest, Derry, Knock, Milan, Porto, Riga and Wroclaw.

These will be followed tomorrow by inaugural Ryanair flights to Bratislava, Dinard, Poznan and Rzeszow, and to Katowice on Saturday 10 November.

A further two ski destinations to Salzburg and Turin will start 19 and 22 December 2007 respectively.

Ryanair's new Bristol base will deliver 1m additional passengers in 2008.

Welcoming the Bristol base launch, Ryanair's Head of Sales and Marketing UK Caroline Baldwin said: "Ryanair's $140m investment in two new Boeing 737-800 aircraft for Bristol will deliver 1m passengers, 1,000 jobs and a visitor spend of £250m.

"From today, tourism and businesses in the South-West will benefit from improved access and Ryanair's guaranteed lowest fares on nineteen routes between Bristol and Europe.

"To celebrate, Ryanair is offering four million seats from Bristol and across Europe from just £10 one way including airport taxes and charges. We urge passengers to log onto Ryanair.com immediately, as this offer must end at midnight on Thursday 15 November."
