Ryanair has announced a new daily route from Ireland West Knock Airport to Liverpool – commencing on 27th October 2008.

Annette Kearney, Marketing and Route Development Manager at Ireland West Airport Knock said:

“The addition of this direct daily route from Liverpool to Ireland West Knock with Ryanair is another significant step in our Airport’s growth as we continue to provide an ever-widening choice of great value, direct and convenient jet flights to our customers both in the UK and in Ireland. This new route further expands our network of scheduled jet flight services from key UK destinations to the West and North West of Ireland . We look forward to welcoming visitors from Britain’s North West and I’m sure the Liverpool region will equally benefit from a boost of Irish leisure and business travelers, especially from the thousands of Liverpool FC and Everton supporters in our catchments!”

Speaking today, Ryanair’s Bridget Dowling said:

“Ryanair is committed to delivering the lowest fares guaranteed, and this new route to Liverpool means that passengers will have an additional link to the UK from the West of Ireland. The new service will operate on a daily basis from 27th October and will bring an additional 100,000 passengers p.a. through the airport. We’re confident that the new route to Liverpool will prove just as successful as our existing routes to Bristol, East Midlands, London (Luton) and London (Stansted).

“Ryanair is the only airline to guarantee no fuel surcharges. Passengers should log on to Ryanair.com today as seats to Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008 will be snapped up”.
