10,000 people use Ryanair Flight Tracker Service in first month

Ryanair has announced that over 10,000 customers have used its new SMS Flight Tracker service since it was introduced in June 2008. This mobile phone service delivers Ryanair flight information, directly to UK and Irish mobiles of users who simply call or text the Flight Tracker numbers.

Those awaiting a Ryanair passenger can keep track of any Ryanair flight to or from the UK and Ireland for just £1.50/ €2. This is less than the cost of a 30 minute stay in most airport car parks, and far more convenient and useful.

“We were always confident that the Ryanair SMS Flight Tracker service would be popular and we are delighted that so many people have used the service in its first month. Ryanair’s SMS Flight Tracker service has already helped over 10,000 people minimise the time and expense of collecting family and friends from high cost airports like Dublin or Stansted where short term car parking is a complete rip off.

“A simple call or text can keep you updated on departure and arrival times and in many cases it can eliminate the need to use the high cost airport car parks at all as you can simply time your trip to pick up your friends from the airport’s set down area”.
