Ryanair launches new services from East Midlands Ryanair has this week launched its brand-new services from East Midlands Airport to Prague, Faro, Paris (Beauvais) and Fuerteventura. Ryanair now operates a choice of thirty-one destinations for the 2008 winter season.

Among the passengers on the first East Midlands flight to Faro were Deanne Carden and Matt Etherington from Chester. The couple, who were jetting off to enjoy a week away in the sun, travelled to the airport to take advantage of the great Ryanair rates on offer. The couple were delighted to join in the celebrations and were presented with a Ryanair flight voucher.

Ryanair’s Sales and Marketing UK Executive Ashley Casey said: “We are delighted to introduce these fantastic new services from East Midlands Airport today. These additional winter services underline the demand for low cost travel in the Midlands region - while other airlines are pulling flights and reducing frequencies Ryanair is committed to growth.

“To celebrate, Ryanair is offering flights from East Midlands and across our network from an amazing £1* one way including airport taxes and charges. We urge passengers to log onto ryanair.com immediately, as these fares will be snapped up fast.”

Commenting on the new routes, Caroline Plant, Director of Marketing and Communications, East Midlands Airport, said “The additional services are great news for the airport and indeed its customers who will now have an even greater choice of destinations available to them.

“We are confident that the new services will prove extremely popular throughout the winter season and beyond, and we look forward to building upon this fantastic portfolio.”
