Ryanair has today (Tuesday, 18th November 2008) released 500,000 free seats for travel throughout Europe in December, January and February as it celebrated the launch of two new London (Gatwick) routes to Barcelona Girona (daily) and Alicante (twice daily) from the 18th December, increasing the number of routes Ryanair operates from Gatwick to five.

Ryanair has also officially launched sales of the 2009 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar on flights to/from the UK. Ryanair’s 2009 calendar will go on sale throughout Europe with the entire sale proceeds (print run of 10,000) of €100,000 being donated to charity.

Ryanair encourages passengers to log on to ryanair.com before midnight Friday to secure one of these 500,000 free seats for travel in December, January and February and to pick up the sexy 2009 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar (for just £8.40) before they are all snapped up.

Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary said:

“Ryanair is delighted to announce two new routes to/from London Gatwick to Barcelona and Alicante from 18th December. In 2009 Ryanair will bring its guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to 65 million passengers. We also offer Europe’s most beautiful girls, and we are proud that the voluntary efforts of our cabin crew will raise some €100,000 for charity.

“We have the best looking cabin crew in Europe, over 700 of whom applied to take part in this year’s calendar and we continue to defend the rights of girls (and boys) to strip off for charity if they want to.

“We urge passengers to take advantage of one of our 500,000 free seats for travel in December, January and February and pick up a copy of this year’s hottest calendar online or onboard. These free flights, which are available until midnight Friday, will go like hot cakes and our calendar will be snapped up even faster so passengers should log on to ryanair.com today to avoid disappointment”.
