Ryanair slashes travel insurance

Ryanair announced yesterday that it will dramatically reduce the cost of its annual multi-trip travel insurance by 45%, slashing the cost of annual travel insurances to just £25 and, unlike other insurance policies, Ryanair’s low cost standard annual multi-trip insurance does not require applicants to hold high cost private health insurance.

Ryanair’s worldwide annual policy provides cover for an unlimited number of trips per year (providing each trip does not exceed 31 days) and includes wintersports cover for a total of 24 days per year. This ensures that travellers who purchase Ryanair’s insurances are insured for unforeseen risks such as medical treatment abroad, cancellation or curtailment of their trip or lost or stolen baggage as well as a host of additional benefits such as loss or damage of ski equipment, ski hire and even piste closure.

Ryanair’s annual multi-trip insurance is priced at just £25 for individuals, £44.99 for couples and £54.99 for families (which included parents and all their children less than 18 years of age, living at home and in full time education) and is available online at Ryanair.com.
