10th March 2009 Print
Manheim Auctions has been awarded a new contract by BMW for three years following the decision to split its used vehicle remarketing programme between Manheim and BCA. Manheim’s new contract includes the remarketing of up to 6,000 vehicles per annum from BMW UK, MINI UK and BMW Financial Services until the end of 2011. The auctions, to be held monthly at Manheim’s three flagship auction centres in Bristol, Colchester and Leeds, will also be available to buyers via Simulcast, Manheim’s market-leading online link to physical auctions.

Tony Dean, BMW’s Group Remarketing Manager said: “Manheim’s expertise, experience and innovation is recognised throughout the industry and broadening the BMW remarketing programme through Manheim Auctions and Simulcast will ensure that our products are presented to a much wider audience.”

Mike Pilkington, Managing Director, Manheim Auctions & Remarketing added: “Securing this new BMW contract is another major boost for Manheim. The value of the BMW brand speaks for itself and we know that the availability to Manheim buyers of such premium, ready-to-retail stock will be eagerly anticipated. We are determined to deliver market-leading results to support the programme
over the next three years.”

The contract will further enhance the Manheim Group’s relationship with BMW, following separate existing arrangements with Manheim DeFleet Services, vrs and Portfolio.
