Ryanair extends passenger poll
Ryanair today extended its ‘free standing-flights’ online poll to Tuesday 21st July after 50,000 votes were cast in just five days. Ryanair hopes to poll over 100,000 passengers to find out if they would be willing to stand on one hour flights if it meant the fare was free. The poll asks passengers:
1. If it meant your fare was free would you stand on a one hour flight?
2. If it meant your fare was half that of a seated passenger would you stand on a one hour flight?
3. Do you think passengers should have a choice of standing on short flights as they currently do on trains, buses and underground transport?
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:
“Ryanair’s passengers are voting in their tens of thousands and with 50,000 votes in just 5 days we have extended the poll to midnight Tuesday next (21st July) in the hope that over 100,000 passengers can democratically express their view on whether they would stand on one hour flights if the fare was free. Passengers can vote in this poll by logging on to ryanair.com before midnight Tuesday next”.
