bmibaby announces new route to Ibiza

4th April 2007 Print
bmibaby the award winning airline with tiny fares, has today announced the launch of a new three times a week service to the Balearic Island of Ibiza from East Midlands Airport and two times a week service from Cardiff International Airport. Fares start from just £34.99 one way including taxes and charges and are on sale now.

Flights from East Midlands start on 30th June 2007 and continue until 9th September 2007 and flights from Cardiff start on 16th July and continue until 7th September 2007. The new Ibiza route brings the total number of destinations served by bmibaby at East Midlands to 13 and also at Cardiff to 13.

Ibiza is the perfect destination for a summer escape with its stunning beaches and relentless sunshine. The island is a haven for walking, yoga breaks, horse riding and swimming. Travellers can also discover the real Ibiza with its hidden Moorish towns and quiet rocky coves.

By contrast, hedonists will love the famous party scene of Ibiza, from ‘Pacha’, the original and first club on the island, to the so hip it hurts ‘El Divinio’ club near the marina in Ibiza town. Clubbers need not even go to sleep as ‘Space’ opens at 6am and stays open until the afternoon.

David Hodge, marketing director, bmibaby, said: “It’s great to be able to announce a new route to Ibiza from both Cardiff International Airport and East Midlands Airport. Travellers can catch a flight from Cardiff to Ibiza two times a week and from East Midlands three times a week.

“Whether you want sunshine, idyllic beaches, a quiet haven away from it all or the best nightlife in the world, Ibiza is an island of contrasts that offers something for everyone.

“With fares starting from just £34.99 one way including taxes and charges, there are some real bargains to be had.”
