bmibaby launches new online destination guides

26th June 2008 Print
bmibaby, one of the UK’s fastest growing low cost airlines, has launched a new generation of online destination guides which cover 32 routes across the airline’s network. The guides have been designed in partnership with Ink Publishing who currently publishes bmibaby’s in flight magazine ‘yeah baby’.

Following yeah baby’s footsteps, the travel guides are quirky and insightful, geared towards providing the users with a unique experience based on the concept of a “best list”. This fresh approach steers away from the common tourist attractions and focuses on discovering the hidden jewels with the help of local writers. Packed with a multitude of features, the guides will be integrated with Google maps, enabling travellers to navigate to precise locations ensuring they never lose their way.

Sundip Bedi, Online Brand Manager, bmibaby, said:

“The bmibaby ‘best list’ is ideal for customers who want a no fuss destination guide with top tips from a local expert. Each best list has a simple and easy to read format and can be printed as a one page guide, a perfect size to take away on holiday.

“Users can also bookmark each guide to sites such as digg and facebook and view the destination hot spots on Google maps, thus making the whole experience very user friendly.

“We remain committed to enhancing the online customer experience and will continue to introduce innovations on bmibaby.com”

Michael Keating, Ink’s Editorial Director, said:

“We are delighted with the success of yeah baby and are happy to be working with bmibaby on their latest venture which proves our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.”
