Ski weekends on the rise

With the rise in popularity of ski weekends, the cost of travel on no-frills airlines at peak weekend times is not as low as many people believe. Weekends put together by tour operators are now becoming increasingly competitive and growing in number.
Ski Freshtracks, who offer a unique type of holiday where all skiers and boarders on a certain trip are of the same ski ability, offer 20 weekend breaks across a range of resorts in Europe.
Caroline Boileau, General Manager of Ski Freshtracks explained why the weekends were proving so popular. "More and more people are coming to us for their ski weekends because, as well as being able to ski or board with others of the same standard, they love the fact that all our weekends have flight times which allow for three or four full days on the slopes. Having all the elements booked in one go without the hassle of having to piece the different elements of your holiday together, also adds to the appeal."
Ski Freshtracks weekends include the ‘Women Will’ Weekend to Saas Fee, two NEW Avalanche Awareness Weekends to Argentiere, an instruction weekend in St Anton, three weekends departing from London City Airport and two ski weekends over the first Bank Holiday in May.
