24th January 2007 Print
Solden - Austria The world-class Austrian ski resort of Soelden, in Austria's Tirol province, will host the fab `ManMountain’ event March 24-31 with over 500 participants expected to attend, making it the largest gay ski week in the Alps.

Skiers and snowboarders descending upon the resort will not only enjoy the snowy white landscape, but also the spas and nightlife, with London guest DJs and Clubs hosting nightly events in Soelden’s 20 or more clubs and bars.

Especially organised for the 2007 ManMountain Gay Ski Week are the exclusively gay ski and boarding classes, on-piste ski guides touring the slopes and an end of week `Sound of Music Downhill’ race for all categories of skier, with a prize for the best costume, followed by a top of the mountain concert.

The Tirol’s legendary standards of hotel will provide pampering, spa and sauna facilities and for non-skiers, the stunning new AquaDome spa centre at nearby Längenfeld provides a relaxing refuge, surrounded by mountain trails, snowy white peaks and offering vistors use of the saunas, steam baths, tanning beds and thermal pools.

Soelden is an Alpine World Cup Venue, has 150kms of pistes, three mountains above 3,000m and guarantees snow right through until May with its high altitude, snow-making and glacier ski area. Its legendary skiing attracts skiers throughout Europe, ensuring ManMountain will be a truly pan-European event.
