Groupe Pierre & Vacances release new ski brochure

Groupe Pierre & Vacances has released its new UK P&V ski brochure for Winter 07/8. This is the first time the new style branding has been seen in the UK. P&V is the new umbrella brand for the 5 diverse product ranges belonging to the group.

This year’s ski brochure showcases over 60 properties in 21 diverse French ski resorts in the French Alps including all the top names such as Val d’Isere and Courchevel plus some quirkier resorts like Vars and Font Romeu. P&V has always offered affordable skiing and prices in January are as low as £50 per person for a week in Les Horizons d’Huez in Alpe d’Huez.

New for this year include:

• A piste side hotel, Latitudes du Golf de Courchevel and residence in Courchevel 1650.
• All Pierre & Vacances 4 star and Residence MGM properties are equipped with comfy duvets and free WIFI is available in most
• Residences MGM are offering a luxury food pack service including typically French delicacies such as champagne and Foie Gras.
• The popular Pierre & Vacances 4 star Chalets du Forum in Courchevel 1850 and Residence Aconit in Les Menuires have both been completely refitted and undergone major renovations and are now premium quality properties
• Maeva Residence Meribel Les Ravines and La Tania Britannia are both fully renovated
• Residence MGM Alpages du Chantal in Arcs 1800 has also benefited from a full refurbishment

Residences MGM are continuing with the extremely popular ‘Spas by Algotherm’ along with free indoor swimming pool and Leisure Centre entrance in most locations.

UK and Ireland Sales and Marketing Manager Catherine Rankin noted “Within the past 5 years over 80% of ski properties have been renovated. These are not just ‘paint jobs’ these are massive projects. Customers no longer want a rabbit hutch with bunk beds!

“Many of the of the original buildings have been gutted to create a spacious modern, well appointed, 2 bedroom, inviting living space, where there used to be 3 studios. This creates a really sought after product as well as significantly reducing the total number of beds available. P&V properties were often part of the original resort development and therefore usually occupy the best ski in/out location in the centre of the resort.”
