Easy Tirol

15th January 2008 Print
Easy Tirol Following the introduction of three new flying routes to the skier’s capital of Innsbruck this winter, Austria’s top skiing province, the Tirol, is now served by low cost easyJet flights from Gatwick, Liverpool and Bristol, making its pristine slopes and picturesque villages easily accessible from around the UK.

The new Liverpool service started on 8th January, the new Gatwick and Bristol routes in December, with fares from under £40 return.

Once at the airport, a city centre bus operates every 15 minutes and takes just 18 minutes to Innsbruck city centre, from where Innsbruck’s 9 satellite ski resorts are served by free ski buses. Airport transfers take skiers further afield, to its numerous resorts and glaciers.

Bristol fares are from £38.98 return, Gatwick from £40.98 and Liverpool from £45.98 return.

There are nine ski regions in the immediate vicinity of Innsbruck, 285 kms of piste with 80 cable cars and lifts in areas such as Mutteralm, the Stubaier Gletscher, Schlick 2000 and Axamer Lizum.
