Great snow for Canada! Canada has been blessed once again with awesome snowfall this Winter. Not for the first time, some of the country's resorts are reporting several metres of the white stuff already!

The Western resorts all have established great snow bases, with Whistler and Fernie enjoying around 235cm / 92 inch bases, following a week that has brought them over 70cm / 27 inches of new snow. Big White and Silver Star are also doing well with 25cm – 40 cm of snow falling in the week on a base of 180cm / 71 inches or so.

Sun Peaks has had 43cm / 17 inches this last week, taking its base to 160 cm / 63 inches. Panorama has enjoyed a fresh sprinkling and has an established base of 106 cm / 42 inches.

In the Alberta Rockies, Banff has a base of 132cm / 52 inches of snow, with Lake Louise not far behind on 123cm / 48 inches. Jasper has a base of 79cm / 31 inches. New snow has fallen in all three resorts in the past few days.

The Eastern resorts, headed by Mont St. Anne, are also reporting fresh snow of 14 - 27cm / 6 - 11 inches over the last seven days.

Overall, it is looking like being another awesome season in Canada.
