Extended off-piste offering for single skiers

The nature of Ski Freshtracks holidays means many skiers book as individuals and as well as offering a small number of rooms for single occupancy on all holidays, this year there are even more holidays where everyone who books gets their own room at no extra cost.
Ski Freshtracks offers 54 off-piste adventure and improvement courses as well as a large ski touring programme and heliskiing trips. This year has seen the introduction of a heli and cat skiing trip to Revelstoke and Kicking Horse in Canada and a ski tour in the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
To add to the off-piste programme, this year there is a chance for skiers to test all the latest freeride skis with leading retailer Snow+Rock on a ski test weekend in Lech in December and to ski with ex-Olympic freestyle skier Pat Sharples and top mountain guides on the Salomon Freeski week in the off-piste resort of Andermatt in March.
The ski touring programme has also expanded and introduces a new concept for this year - ‘Exploration’ holidays. These holidays include a series of day tours with the emphasis on finding the best snow. They are ideal for skiers new to ski touring who prefer not to stay in mountain huts, but instead in the comfort of a hotel.
Caroline Boileau, General Manager of Ski Freshtracks, said: “We know that many skiers want more than an average ski holiday and relish the chance to be more adventurous. The growth of our off-piste and ski touring programmes confirms that people want to challenge themselves and make more of their time on the mountain – including improving their skiing. We are now even more geared towards single skiers as well, with more holidays being offered with the chance to take a room at no supplement – vital for single skiers.”
The Peak Experience programme – holidays aimed at skiers aged over 50 – offers 27 trips this year, highlighting the interest from the mature market in snowsports. Weekend skiing is also continuing to be popular, with Ski Freshtracks offering 26 weekends over the season, including trips over Easter.
