Interhome has always been a step ahead of the competition and has succeeded in developing an innovative IT solution of the highest technical standard.
Last winter Interhome profited from the early snowfalls across Europe. In November bookings were well above previous years as lots of properties were booked by the early season enthusiasts in search of fresh tracks in November. Excellent season conditions until the end of April gave Interhome the opportunity to enjoy one of its most successful winter seasons.
Winter ‘08/09
Significant capacity has been added for this season in the best selling resorts of Tignes in France and Zermatt in Switzerland. Following the trend of recent years Interhome expect the high resorts to do well again this season, in particular Val Thorens, Nendaz (4 Valleys), St Anton (and surrounding valleys).
Bookings to these resorts are significantly up year on year as clients are also booking in advance to secure the more snow sure resorts. A good percentage of next season’s bookings are driven by families and groups in search of accommodation only prices that are better value than hotels.
The luxury end of the market is thriving as Interhome offer a choice of very special properties designed for guests with high expectations. Generally prices have increased across the board, due mainly to the declining exchange rate of the Sterling against the Euro and Swiss Franc. Despite this, bookings for Austria, France and Switzerland are well up and with a longer season to enjoy with a later Easter in April next year, it should be a good season. New for this winter, Interhome has added the Geo codes for as many properties as possible so clients can see the exact location on a map/plan! (click on "Map" in red) at Interhome.co.uk.
Madeleine Winship, Director of Interhome, says “However, Interhome clients still appear to be opting for the even more expensive properties rather than trading down. We anticipate that those looking for bargains will book later and be more motivated by price as opposed to resort and accommodation choice”.
