Peak to peak

Whistler Blackcomb's Peak to Peak Gondola is already winning awards and it hasn't even opened yet! Leading guidebook, Where to Ski and Snowboard, awarded the development at the resort in British Columbia, Canada, the accolade of 'Best North American Development in 2008' at the book's launch on Monday.

The gondola, which will link the resorts two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, at altitude for the first time and negates the need to return to the valley to visit both peaks, is due to open in mid-December.

For anyone wanting to be one of the first to make this 4.4km long crossing, Frontier Ski are offering some great deals this December. Travel on the 10th - 17th December and you can enjoy accommodation at the Glacier Lodge at the foot of the Blackcomb slopes for £844, inclusive of flights and resort transfers, based on two sharing.
