Switzerland Travel Centre launches winter ski programme

30th September 2008 Print
The Switzerland Travel Centre has launched its 2008/09 skiing programme offering a wealth of options ranging from small, family-friendly destinations to ‘jet-set’ resorts such as Klosters.

Prices in the programme lead in at £612 (twin share) for a seven-night holiday at Les Diablerets, an unspoilt mountain village set at the foot of a mountain range capped by the Diablerets Glacier.

This well-established winter resort offers skiing and snowboarding for all abilities, 15 kms of snowshoeing paths, a seven km sledging slope – operational throughout the day and by moonlight – plus a choice of excellent facilities for families such as swimming pool, ice-skating and fun park.

The above price, applicable for departures in early December, includes return flights from Heathrow, rail transfers and half-board accommodation at the three-star Hotel Les Sources. Children, two-11 years, pay £175 each.

‘Off the beaten track’ ideas from the company include group overnight stays in igloos high in the mountains close to Zermatt, along with – for the romantically inclined - cosy igloos for two.

Other destinations featured by the Switzerland Travel Centre in 2008/09 include Saas Fee, Murren, Grindelwald, Davos and Villars, along with ‘top notch’ resorts such as St Mortiz.
