Alberta’s ski resorts sweep the board Alberta’s Rocky Mountain resorts have scooped six of the top eight awards for North America in the recently launched Hardy’s Skiing & Snowboarding Guide 2009, including Best North American Ski Resort, awarded to Banff-Lake Louise.

The awards are judged by a panel of experts, including the authors of the guide and take into account nominations supplied by readers. The prestigious awards go to the resorts, hotels and restaurants that deserve particular merit.

Alberta is delighted to have achieved the following accolades:

Best Ski Resort, North America – Banff-Lake Louise
Best Small Resort, North America – Jasper, Marmot Basin
Best Ski Hotel, North America – Fox Hotel & Suites, Banff
Best Ski Spa, North America – Red Earth Spa, Banff
Best Resort Restaurant, North America – Maple Leaf Grille, Banff
Best Ski Shop, North America – Ski Hub, Banff
