Bavarian slopes offer skiing for less
Get ready to pack your skis and head for the Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal region in Southern Bavaria where the grand season opening in the German-Austrian skiing area “Fellhorn-Kanzelwand” and “Nebelhorn” will take place on 6 December.UK skiers ready to explore something new can make use of easy access options from London Stansted and value for money offers including accommodation and ski passes for altogether 120 km of skiing slopes. Packages can be booked for the whole season from 6 December 2008 to 19 April 2009 starting from EUR 301 per person for three nights in a four star hotel including breakfast and ski pass or from EUR 368 for three nights and two people plus ski passes in a self-catering apartment.
Ryanair flies from London Stansted to Friedrichshafen (Lake Constance) from where the Allgäu-Walser Express offers regular coach transfers to Oberstdorf (Allgäu) or the neighbouring Kleinwalsertal (Austria) which can only be reached via Germany.
