Online ski hire soars at Ski Republic With up to a metre of snow forecast in the French Alps this weekend revolutionary ski equipment hirer, Ski Republic, are reporting record online bookings for their `two for one’ skiis, boots and poles offer with rental sales 500% higher than 12 months ago.

Mark Warnes said “People know they can get a deal on the web and as consumer confidence in internet purchasing has grown, so their attitude to ski hire has totally changed.

“Skiers don’t want to mess around in resort trying to find the best ski equipment hire deals when they arrive and now word has also got around that we’re offering one free set of equipment for every one booked, either online at ski-republic.com, or in one of our 27 shops in the Alps, we’re seeing online bookings soar”.

The company has revolutionized ski hire since launching in the Alps at the start of the 2007 season, by driving down the cost per person and improving service levels in the brightly coloured pink and yellow Ski Republic stores. Ski Republic also includes free ski equipment damage insurance, a free helmet and free anti-stink boot liners with every rental.

So fast has been Ski Republic’s success that they are opening 5 new stores for the winter 2008/9 ski season, two in La Rosiere and shops in Val Morel, Mottaret and Les 2 Alpes.
