Girls - Kick start 2009 with a snowboarding holiday

As well as being a loads of fun a rudegirls snowboard week is a great way to start kick start your New Year's resolutions: Get fit - learn a new sport; Get healthy - eat less junk food; Get social - meet new people; Get positive - take up yoga; Get chilled - de-stress and relax; Get cultured – learn a language.
Get fit - learn a new sport
Its official - learning to snowboard burns up to 300 calories an hour so if you really go for it and hit the piste in the morning and the afternoon you will burn as many as 1200 extra calories / day! So after a week of intensive rudegirl snowboard training you will have easily worked off the 6000 calories which the average person is said to consume on Christmas day!
Get healthy - eat less junk food
Start as you mean to go on – as part of their fully catered service rudechalets provides energy packed breakfasts of porridge, local honey, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, fruit juice & herbal teas. In the evening fully trained chalet chefs cook and serve a nutritious evening meal which is freshly made from seasonal vegetables, meat & locally caught fresh fish. rudechalets can cater for all dietary requirements.
Get social - meet new people
Skiing and snowboarding is a fantastic way to get to get to know some different people and make new friends. Everyone hangs out together and has at least one thing – snowboarding – in common. There are lots of après-ski activities organised by the rudeteam including night-time sledging, late night shopping, film evenings and nights out at live music/dance events. The third week in January is official “Singles” week in Avoriaz so if you fancy meeting a super fit ski instructor or an uber-cool snowboard bum then book up a rudeapartment with your mates and get sharking on the pistes.
Get Positive - take up yoga
The benefits of yoga are so far reaching (pardon the pun!) that for anyone wanting to turn-over a new leaf, re-energise their body, stimulate their mind and re-vitalise their soul practicing yoga is a must. Yoga can also bring huge benefits to snowboarders by vastly improving their skill, ability and endurance on the mountain. As part of the rudegirls snowboard week you can join in evening yoga sessions with the fabulously flexible rudegirls yoga teacher Lou Tilbury who teaches creative, dynamic Vinyasa style yoga for all abilities.
Get chilled - de-stress and relax
Snowboarding is not just about charging around the mountain! The cosy mountain restaurants with roaring log fires, the après-ski bars with panoramic sun terraces and the steamy outdoor hot tub back at the chalet mean there are plenty of opportunities to kick-back, relax and soak up the mountain ambiance.
Get cultured – learn a language
Re-discovering a foreign language and digging out your old French GCSE Tricolore books can be surprisingly rewarding. Not only does learning a foreign language stimulate your brain thus enhancing your communication and thinking abilities, it also gives you a greater cultural understanding of a different country and the world in general. Although Morzine is home to thousands of British tourists during the winter holiday season its shops, cafes, bars and restaurants have managed to preserve their “frenchness” and are always appreciative of tourists who make an effort to speak their language.
Accommodation is provided in Rude Chalets' pimped up Chalet Joseph whose bedrooms are all ensuite each with funky snow-art, flat screens, XBox 360 & free wi-fi.
A rudegirls snowboard week costs is £659 pp which includes: return airport transfers, ensuite accommodation, half board, unlimited wine, 6 day Avoriaz lift pass, snowboard rental, snowboard tuition, board maintenance workshop, yoga classes, rudegirls goodie bag.
