Slovakia offers budget skiing with style

Slovakia’s dramatic High Tatras Mountains remain one of Europe’s best kept skiing secrets, with recent large scale investment in both accommodation and ski facilities, perfect terrain for families and novices and charming little resorts such as Strbske Pleso, Stary Smokovec and Tatranska Lomnica that provide an intriguing mix of old and new. And, for more advanced skiers, the resort of Jasná in the Low Tatras Mountains has more challenging skiing and boarding including some great freeride terrain.
Both mountain ranges are a short transfer from the inbound airports of Kosice (1 hour) and Poprad (10 mins) with direct two hour flights to each from Manchester and Luton airports.
Mountain Paradise is offering superb value £399 packages for the rest of this season to the High Tatras, including flights and transfers, seven-nights B&B accommodation at either Penzion 2004 in Stara Lesna or Penzion Plesnivec in Spisska Sobota, transfer to the slopes (10 mins) and a six day lift pass. Try finding a deal like that in the Alps!
And, in the Low Tatras, Mountain Paradise can offer a £499 deal which includes flights and transfers, seven-nights B&B in either the three-star Hotel Druzba or two-star Hotel Ski, both of which are ski in/ski out, and a six-day lift pass.
Matt Jevons of Mountain Paradise comments; "So, great snow, great value and a great chance to ski somewhere very different – what are you waiting for?"
