Freeskiing – A unique experience

For the first ever time, skiers are being invited to discover the powder of Andermatt with UIAGM mountain guide Nigel Shepherd and ski with freeski legend & Salomon freeski team captain Pat Sharples. There will also be a Salomon rep armed with a full test pool of the very latest freeride and freestyle skis for everybody to test. In this pool will be prototype skis scheduled for release in two years time.
The trip is suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers looking to head off piste and is ideal for those wanting to ski with others of the same ability. The trip will be lead by a Ski Freshtracks leader who will show skiers the mountain and the après-ski when they are not discovering the backcountry with Nigel or Pat.
Andermatt has enormous off-piste opportunities and a reputation for generous dumps of snow, and is one of Switzerland’s lesser-known gems. The village itself is charming, with cobbled streets and cosy bars. Accommodation is provided in the comfortable 3* Hotel Sonne. This unique week is running from 7-14 March 2009. The cost is £950.00 per person which includes seven nights half board, 3* hotel, twin share, rail transfer ticket, Ski Freshtracks leader and four days with a mountain guide and use of Salomon test skis.
