Ski and city breaks in Quebec

16th February 2009 Print
Twinning a city break with a ski holiday is a great way to see more of an amazing country such as Canada. In Quebec there are two great locations for this twin-centre holiday with a difference – Quebec City and Montreal.

With several ski resorts within an easy drive of downtown located accommodation, Quebec City certainly should rank highly for anyone wanting to mix time on the slopes with time in the shops. The resorts of Stoneham, Mont Sainte Anne and Le Massif are just a short ride or drive from the city and can easily be combined to give plenty of skiing and snowboarding options. Staying in Quebec City itself gives visitors access to plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment as well as the wealth of the city’s historic sites.

Montreal is a shoppers’ paradise and its inter-linked shopping malls are renowned. The city is also alive with entertainments and has many delightful hotels. A few days in the city can easily be combined with a few on the slopes of the resort of Tremblant, just 90 minutes drive away. With the most extensive terrain in Eastern Canada the resort has much to offer both skiers and snowboarders.

Frontier Ski can tailor-make visits to both cities and their nearby ski resorts. Visit Frontier-ski.co.uk for more information.
