A ski chalet that’s ultra chic and boutique

What makes this chalet so unique and special is the meeting of ancient and modern to create an architectural showpiece of the highest standards. Sensitively converted in 2008/09, Abode is the epitome of a Savoyard farmer’s house; whilst the renovation has retained the spirit & feel, contemporary interiors, designer furniture, and oodles of creature comforts bring style & sophistication.
“We felt inspired to convert this beautiful chalet” said Chris Raemers, Company Owner & Qualified Architect. “We have treated the house with the greatest respect, blending the original fabric & features with highly contemporary finishes & designer furniture to create a truly unique mountain home – it is stunning”.
One of the key ingredients to this Architect designed chalet is its idyllic location in the timeless hamlet of Villarabout, St Martin de Belleville - a glittering jewel in the world famous 3 valleys.
Company Owner Helen Raemers explains why the location is so special, “This is an opportunity to experience an authentic Savoyard mountain village knowing that the world’s greatest ski area is right on your doorstep. Original wood & stone barns nestle against the mountainside & farmhouse cheese is still made here. This is rustic France, before the invasion of purpose built ski factories & the developers.”
Abode will welcome its first guests in December 2009. The icing on the cake for the opening of The Alpine Club’s new Boutique chalet is the return of Chef Ben Woods, to delight guests with his modern menus with a touch of sheer magic & indulgence. Last year he inspired guests to rate his food as ‘worthy of a Michelin star’.
