Round Britain sailing ace is ‘playing for success’ with support from Eurotaxglass’s June 11th will see the start of the Round Britain and Ireland Yacht Race, the tough 2000-mile challenge that takes place every four years. Starting in Plymouth, its unique challenges demand both skill and courage, and it remains one of the most competitive races in the yachting calendar.

EurotaxGlass’s, Europe's leading supplier of automotive business intelligence, is delighted to be backing an entry from renowned Cornwall-based yachtsman Pete Goss. Goss, and his team-mate Paul Larson, are using the event to promote and raise funds for ‘Cornwall Playing for Success’, a charity that Goss himself helped to establish that seeks to provide additional out-of-school education initiatives for children in the county. Through charitable donation, EurotaxGlass’s is hoping that it can assist with raising the profile of this worthwhile cause whilst supporting Goss with what is set to be a highly competitive entry. Sailing in a new high-tech yacht, the SeaCart 30, Goss and Larson start the race with a very real chance of success

Kevin Gaskell, CEO of EurotaxGlass’s, says of the sponsorship: "Once again Pete Goss is at the leading edge of technology, challenging his competitors to meet his standards. At EurotaxGlass's we apply data and technology to provide decision critical intelligence to our partners enabling them to compete more effectively, and win more often. We are delighted that through our sponsorship we are able to support the 'Playing for Success' initiative and help to develop the next generation of leaders and winners."

Gaskell and Goss have a long-standing personal friendship that has seen them work together on a number of Goss’s adventurous exploits. Most recently Gaskell joined Goss in a gruelling trek to the North Pole, in which Gaskell raised funds for ‘Jayne’s Gift’, a charity close to his own heart.
