Extra Methods for Thatcham escribe Subscribers
Subscribers to Thatcham’s crash repair data product escribe are now benefitting from even more information, as the research technicians add even more vehicles to the methods library.MethodsExtra, covers the most common repair enquiries from Thatcham’s Technical Helpline customers. The Technical Vehicle Body Repair Team research the requests and add a detailed set of methods to the monthly escribe updates.
This ongoing process will not only ensure that escribe continues to provide excellent value for money as the most comprehensive source of technical repair information, it also enables users to access methods quicker and more efficiently from one source - escribe.
“The MethodsExtra section of escribe is giving us an opportunity to communicate supplementary methods and updates, which have arisen from our ongoing research or through customer enquiries.” said Stuart Anstie, Manager of the Technical Vehicle Body Repair Team at Thatcham. “As well as providing methods that are frequently requested MethodsExtra will provide information on new sectioning options or perhaps variations on repairs that a greater availability of parts has subsequently made possible. Certainly we know from our analysis of the Technical Helpline enquiries, that this is information which is very much sought after by repairers.”
The first MethodsExtra information was delivered in the April escribe update and included amongst others a range of variant specific repair information on the Audi A4 2001-2005, the Vauxhall Astra 2004-2006 & 2007 and the Vauxhall Vectra 2002-2005 & 2005 onwards
Going forward Thatcham will be looking to provide extra information on 2 or 3 models each month. This will of course be in addition to the wide range of new model repair information that is currently added to escribe with each monthly update.
