Virgin Atlantic launches Premium Economy '50% extra'

Virgin Atlantic has launched a Premium Economy '50% extra' Flying Club miles offer, where Flying Club members, who purchase a full fare Premium Economy return ticket, will receive 50% extra Flying Club miles on each flight they take until the 31 March this year.

Alan Lias, Head of Loyalty, at Virgin Atlantic commented: "Our frequent flyers will not only benefit from these extra miles but have the opportunity to travel on the brand new Premium Economy seat.

"Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club is renowned as one of the most generous loyalty programmes in the industry. There are many ways in which passengers can enjoy spending their extra miles-one being saving up their miles so that they get that little bit closer to taking a trip to space with Virgin Galactic."

To take advantage of this offer, passengers need to register online at virginatlantic.com/extramiles before taking their qualifying Premium Economy flight.

The new Premium Economy seat, which is currently being rolled out across the fleet, combines a 38" seat pitch with a width of 21", which is wider than BA Clubworld and around 3" wider than other airlines’ Premium Economy products.

The leather seat features enhanced ergonomics for improved comfort. It also features a dual position footrest, lumbar support, adjustable headrest with wings, and a redesigned tray table. All seats on the Heathrow flights provide passengers with lap top power. Premium Economy passengers also benefit from many dedicated services - a dedicated check in, a separate cabin, priority boarding, priority duty free and quicker baggage reclaim and a dedicated toilet on the majority of aircraft. They also receive a pre-departure drink and post dinner liqueur.

The new additional services include dedicated cabin crew and a redesigned meal service. Passengers will also receive a fruit bowl service, where they can help themselves to fruit throughout the flight.

As a Flying Club member, a passenger travelling even on the lowest economy fare will earn Flying Club miles, which can then be spent on a host of wonderful rewards. Passengers can also earn miles with our Flying Club partners, which include other airlines, hotels, restaurants and a range of companies worldwide. Non Flying Club members can join the programme as a Flying Club Red member with an online account, where they can check their mileage balance, view statements and be among the first to hear about exclusive Virgin Atlantic offers, competitions and news.
