Free Wi-Fi access with Virgin Atlantic Upper Class

Virgin Atlantic is pleased to announce that Upper Class passengers will be able to surf the net with free Wi-Fi connections in all its Upper Class Clubhouses by the end of this year.

Upper Class passengers travelling from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, John F Kennedy New York, Washington Dulles International and Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok airports are already able to take full advantage of the new free Wi-Fi service. The service is also available in Virgin Atlantic Revivals for Upper Class passengers arriving at London Heathrow airport.

In each destination passengers can gain access to the free Wi-Fi connection by simply asking for the access code at the Clubhouse reception desk. By the end of the year the remaining Clubhouses worldwide in Tokyo, Boston, Newark, San Francisco and Johannesburg will also offer the free Wi-Fi service to Upper Class passengers.

Virgin Atlantic research has shown that around 10% of business travellers spend an average of up to 54 minutes on line in the Clubhouse in order to keep in touch with the office and surf the net. The free Wi-Fi service means Upper class passengers have more time to complete their work giving them more time to enjoy the ultimate Upper Class experience onboard!

The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at London Heathrow provides the ultimate pre-flight experience for every passenger with an array of exciting and unique areas. Passengers can enjoy a stylish haircut in the salon from Bumble and bumble; relax in the spa pool or sauna; choose from a range of Cowshed treatments; enjoy a game of pool in the Den; a blockbuster film in the Cinema; enjoy a delicious cocktail at the 14 metre long bar; and choose from the extensive Brasserie menu for a richer dining experience before their flight.

Onboard the award-winning Upper Class Suite awaits, which consists of a reclining leather seat for take off, a place to sit and eat a meal opposite your partner, the longest fully flat bed in the world with a proper mattress for sleeping on, a private onboard bar to drink at with your friends and four limousines per return trip.

Since March 2005, the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow has won a host of awards including Best Airline Lounge at the British Travel Awards 2006, Best Leisure or Entertainment Venue at the FX Design Awards 2006, Best Airline Lounge for Skytrax 2006, Red Dot Award for Superior Design, Best Hospitality Environment Best of Show at the Design Week Awards 2007 and Lighting Design Awards 2007, Isometrix Lighting & Design.
